Language learning
Language reference: Introduction to the Nepali Language by Binod Shrestha, Salina Dolmo Lama and Mark Turin (UBC / BCcampus). Writing reference: A Practical Guide to Hindi Script by Gwendolyn S. Kirk and Shobha SV (Indiana University). Nepali and Hindi share Devanagari, but their pronunciation is different.
Beginner course
Twenty introductory lessons, 90 vocabulary entries, eight original practice readings and 76 multiple-choice questions were prepared for the Chhetri Academy beta. Language facts were checked against the UBC reference above and the Nepali Language Resource Center. This course is draft content and has not received native-teacher review. Reference textbooks are not redistributed; their separate exercises, recordings and illustrations are not included.
Writing diagrams
Original animated GIFs were separated into lossless WebP frames; vowel diagrams were cropped into their original individual stages for play, pause, frame stepping and speed control. Shapes and sequence are retained; display size and timing may differ. Each adapted frame sequence is available under its original licence, linked below. Handwriting conventions vary.
Pronunciation
Generated audio uses Microsoft's Nepali ne-NP-HemkalaNeural voice at a reduced speaking rate, via edge-tts. The slow button reduces playback speed further while preserving pitch. Audio is synthetic and has not been reviewed by a native-speaking teacher.

Discover Nepal
Fourteen original Nepali readings with English translations and 42 questions cover festivals, food, greetings, music and places alongside Teej, Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Buddha Jayanti and Nepal’s diversity. Facts are based on Nepal Tourism Board, Lumbini Development Trust and UNESCO references, linked within each reading. Draft language content needs native-teacher review. The diagrams are original explanatory summaries.

The four-part घ tracing drill adapts Opiaterein’s stroke animation under CC BY 3.0. The tracing paths, arrows and numbered divisions are an adaptation, not a claim that all handwriting uses these pen lifts.
